This LIGNORAE fountain pen is handcrafted from Redheart, also known by its traditional commercial name, Chakte Kok. The wood is valued for its naturally vibrant red and coral-orange tones, fine texture and elegant linear grain. Depending on the light, the colour moves between warm scarlet, reddish orange and deeper rosewood shades, giving the pen a lively presence without becoming visually excessive.
The grain runs continuously along the cap and barrel, creating a subtle sense of movement through the entire writing instrument. The smooth, rounded ends soften the elongated cigar-inspired profile, while the polished silver-tone hardware adds a restrained contrast to the rich red wood.
A matching Bock No.6 F red nib gives the pen an especially distinctive identity, turning the entire piece into a carefully coordinated composition. Every curve has been refined to preserve the tactile quality of the wood while creating a smooth and balanced object that feels natural in the hand.
