Object notes

Material, surface and intention.

This LIGNORAE fountain pen is handcrafted from carefully selected ebony, a dense and naturally dark wood known for its refined appearance, durability and understated character. Its almost-black surface reveals delicate grey and blue-black grain lines as the light moves across the body, giving the pen depth without disturbing its calm, monochromatic presence.

The rounded, cigar-inspired silhouette is comfortable in the hand and creates a balanced visual flow from cap to barrel. Polished silver-tone fittings provide a precise contrast to the depth of the ebony, bringing together the warmth of natural wood and the clean geometry of the metal components.

Finished by hand, the pen preserves the quiet individuality of the material: the grain, tonal variations and subtle reflections make every piece unique. Its restrained design is intended for those who appreciate natural materials, careful craftsmanship and objects that become more personal through everyday use.

The pen is fitted with a Bock No. 6 Medium nib, offering a versatile line suitable for notes, correspondence, journaling and signatures.
