The First One Hundred
No. 28 - The plane
Crafted from Zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis), this fountain pen celebrates one of nature's most distinctive grain patterns. Its striking contrast of golden honey tones and dark flowing lines makes every piece completely unique. Paired with a stainless steel Bock No. 6 Fine nib, it combines everyday reliability with the quiet elegance of handcrafted wood, finished to a smooth, satin-like touch.
Some materials invite embellishment. Zebrano is not one of them.

Object notes
Material, surface and intention.
Some materials invite embellishment. Zebrano is not one of them.
Its bold grain already tells a story, with flowing dark lines crossing warm golden wood in patterns that can never be repeated. No stain, pigment or artificial texture could improve what nature has spent decades creating.
Each fountain pen is shaped individually and finished entirely by hand until the surface feels soft, warm and naturally satin in the hand. The result is an object that feels alive, changing subtly as the light moves across its distinctive figure.
Fitted with a stainless steel Bock No. 6 Fine nib, the pen delivers a precise, dependable writing experience while allowing the wood itself to remain the true protagonist. Every curve, every line and every contrast belongs to the tree from which it came.
No two pieces will ever be identical. Nature created the pattern. We simply gave it a form worthy of being written with.
