This fountain pen is handcrafted from Kamagong Ebony (Diospyros blancoi), a dense and highly valued wood known for its dark colour, fine texture, and naturally elegant presence. The material reveals a reserved but complex surface, moving between deep brown, smoky black, and muted golden-brown streaks that appear and disappear depending on the light. Rather than showing a loud contrast, this piece has a quieter visual depth, with the grain giving the body a sense of movement beneath the polished finish.
The rounded silhouette emphasizes the weight and calmness of the wood, creating an object that feels substantial without becoming severe. Its glossy surface brings out the darker tones of the Kamagong Ebony, while the satin metal components introduce a clean architectural counterpoint to the organic grain.
