This fountain pen is handcrafted from Red Heart, also known as Chakte Kok (Simira salvadorensis), a wood admired for its naturally intense red colour and its warm, luminous grain. The body presents a clean cylindrical silhouette, allowing the material itself to become the central visual element: deep crimson, copper-red and subtle orange lines appear beneath the polished finish, giving the surface both brightness and depth.
The design is deliberately restrained so that the colour remains uninterrupted. Satin metal fittings provide a quiet contrast to the vivid body, adding precision without taking attention away from the wood. The pen is fitted with a Bock No. 6 F nib in red, chosen to echo the tone of the Chakte Kok and to give the piece a distinctive, unified character.
